Surrounded by mountains our area offers a mild climate allowing year round outdoor activities. Fishing, boating and swimming are popular as is hiking. Lake Cowichan is a friendly community of about 3000 within the town and and additional 3500 in the surrounding area.

Duncan is a short 20 minute drive to the east. To the west lies Port Renfrew offering access to the west coast of Vancouver Island with it's world class fishing and trails.
